The Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEaS) at Georgia Tech in collaboration with Amazon Web Services has launched its upskilling initiative with the inauguration of the first cohort of the IDEaS & AWS Accelerator Program. This program is designed to provide the campus research community with hands-on experience with AWS tools and instruction from AWS experts in the application of AI assisted workflows to enable and support their teams. 

The fall cohort of 18 researchers will participate in a free, fully remote, 5-week program running from October the 12th through November the 13th. The fall 2026 curriculum focuses on biomedical and health themes. Topics in the course range from foundational themes such as understanding how to implement effective workflows with agents to technical topics such as AI/ML analysis of data sets, medical imaging and classification with AI/ML, and using AI to optimize infrastructure spending.
